Frequently Asked Questions

Can I turn a photo of a real stamp into a transparent PNG?

Yes. Photograph a stamp pressed on white paper, upload it, and the tool removes the white background and saves just the stamp as a PNG. It doesn't create a new stamp — it digitizes a real seal you already have (personal seal, name stamp, company seal) into an image.

Which stamp colors work best?

Red, black, and blue stamps extract most cleanly. For faint stamps like pink, raise the "Boost color" slider. Very light gray stamps that barely differ from the paper are the hardest.

How should I take the photo?

Press the stamp clearly on white paper, then shoot it straight-on in bright light without shadows. If the paper is yellowish or shadowed, fix it with the paper-color option.

How is the saved area decided?

The tool finds the stamp's edges automatically and crops tightly around it — what you see in the preview is exactly what gets saved as a PNG. If you rotate, it re-crops to fit the rotated shape.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed inside your browser and the photo never leaves your device, so even sensitive seals are safe to use.

Where can I use the transparent stamp image?

To place a stamp on digital documents like Word or PDF. Because the background is transparent, the stamp sits cleanly on contracts, quotes, and invoices. To drop it straight into a PDF, use it together with the PDF editor tool.
