Frequently Asked Questions

Can text be extracted from scanned PDFs?

Scanned PDFs are stored as images and do not contain a text layer, so accurate extraction is not possible without OCR. Extraction works correctly only on digital PDFs that have an embedded text layer.

Is Korean text extracted accurately?

Yes, Korean text in digital PDFs is extracted accurately. Scanned images cannot be processed because there is no OCR function.

Is text inside tables also extracted?

Text within table cells is extracted, but the table structure (rows and columns) is not preserved. Only the text is output in reading order.

Can I copy the extracted text directly?

Yes, the extracted text is displayed on screen and you can select all and copy it, or download it as a text file.

Do I need to install anything or create an account?

No, you can use it directly in your browser for free. Files are never sent to a server, so your data stays secure.
